HISTORY OF DEYNING SEWA

DEYNING SEWA FOUNDATION was founded on the 21st May 2018, by Kaday Mansaray a Dental Care Student based in Holland.
The Foundation was established on the realization that thousands of Sierra Leonean children are roaming the streets in deplorable conditions with little or no access to education, health care and general protection. The foundation is a local non-profit charitable and child rights foundation that seeks to provide protection and access to education and health care for children. It will engage professionals in a variety of disciplines to engage, teach, enthuse and give inspiration to children in need.

It has an Advisory Board of Trustees from various works of life that are committed to the causes of child protection and empowerment in Sierra Leone. We continue to liaise with various governmental and non-governmental stakeholders and the children to provide on-going programs and periodic ‘goals’ or end points to focus on so that progress is always maintained towards excellence.

We are trying to be experts in education, hospitality and protection programming. Our interventions are integrated to confront challenges, assuring safety as we afford access to schooling, Feeding and Accomondations for Children.

By coupling instantaneous change for children with an increase in the capacities of caregivers, communities and schools we support children to be safe, in school and learning in the long term.

We seek out situations where there are gaps between aid, assistance and need and, as such, we are often one of one of many other organisations supporting children in these tough circumstances. We prioritise children in the most marginalised populations and currently work in Sierra Leone and Holland.
